Mark A. Lichtenwalter joined Spesia & Ayers as an associate in 2003 after working as a law clerk with the firm since his graduation from law school.

Mr. Lichtenwalter graduated cum laude from The John Marshall Law School in June 2003. He is admitted to practice in all Illinois state courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is currently assigned to the Civil Trial Division of the firm, headed by Senior Partner E. Kent Ayers.

Mr. Lichtenwalter was born and raised in Will County. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

During law school, Mr. Lichtenwalter was inducted into The Order of John Marshall, an academic honors society. He served as a member of the Law Review Board and participated in national and international trial competitions.

Mr. Lichtenwalter was named to Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Stars for 2010. He will serve on the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association Board of Managers, 2010-2011.

Mr. Lichtenwalter is involved in several local charitable organizations. He is on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Will and Grundy County, President of the Illini Club of Will County (the local University of Illinois Alumni Club) and an adjunct professor at the University of St. Francis.
